Tapas Menu

Tapas are small food items you can have as a snack or use as an appetizer. Combine 6 to 8 items and you have a great main course. The serving of tapas is designed to encourage conversation because people are not so focused upon eating an entire meal that is set before them. Also, in some countries it is customary for diners to stand and move about while eating tapas.

According to legend, the tapa tradition began when Castile’s king, Alfonso X of Castile or Alfonso the Wise, recovered from an illness by drinking wine mixed with small dishes between meals. After regaining his health, the king ordered that taverns were not allowed to serve wine to customers unless the beverage was accompanied by a small snack or tapa.

Cuban Smoked Pork
Shredded smoked pork served with flour tortillas and mango salsa $1.95
Pork Tenderloin
Slices of pork served on a Baguette w/ mango salsa $2.25
Brushetta
Crispy bread topped with olive oil, tomato basil, garlic and mozzarella cheese $1.95
Pinchitos Morunos
They resemble pork kababs. The pork is marinated w/ freshly ground cumin and garlic $1.95
Pork Empanadas
A golden brown pastry with a light spiced pork filling $2.25
Pechugas De Pollo
Chicken breast lightly breaded and crisped in olive oil served with lemon wedges $2.25
Pollo Con Limon
Chicken strips marinated in a lemon garlic sauce and fresh lemons $2.25
Banderillas
A combination of chicken and chorizo on a skewer w/ alioli $2.50
Potatoes & Cheese Empanadas

Romaine, iceberg and spinach, tossed with other veggies that makes this salad a great compliment to your tapas selection $1.50

Several different kinds of olives marinated in an olive oil mixture, along with fresh basil, garlic and cheeses $2.25
Fresh Fruit Platter
Watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, kiwi, strawberries. Always a fruit lovers delight $1.95
Smoked Salmon Spread
Home smoked salmon. A fish lovers favorite with an assortment of crackers $2.25
Shrimp Dip
Cocktail shrimp in a creamy sauce w/ assortment of crackers. Also good with veggie tray $2.25
Rainbow Tortellini Salad
Cheese filled tortellini marinated in a olive oil, spices and parmesan cheese and just a sprinkle of cheese and pepper flakes. Awesome $1.75
Vegetable Pasta Salad

Services and other items available at no additional charge:
  1. Delivery, set up, maintenance and removal of all items
  2. Linen provided for buffet serving tables
  3. Disposable plates, cups, napkins and plastic ware
  4. Salt and pepper
Services available at an additional charge:
  1. China: plates, silverware and wait staff $2.75 p.p.
  • A typical Tapas menu includes six to eight items that should add up to no less then $13.95 p.p. 
  • To become a part of Diana’s Catering Calendar, a $200.00 deposit is required. (non-refundable). You can pay by check or call us and pay via credit card.
  • If final payment is paid via credit card, a 2.5% charge will be added to your bill
  • If your reception hall has a surcharge, it will reflect on your final billing
  • The only charge beyond the menu price is for (Diana’s Catering Services) 10% gratuity
